Endangered Fish Are Rescued Each Year on Ventura River Preserve

by darcy on July 29, 2010

fishSeveral fish rescues have taken place on the Ventura River Preserve this summer.   Responsible agencies get together annually – and with the assistance of Rick Bisaccia OVLC’s Preserve Manager – they rescue Steelhead when the swim holes and other parts of the river dry out.  The decision to move fish to safe locations up or down stream takes place on a case-by-case basis.
