Notes
Join us for a tour of the Ojai Meadows Preserve and learn about the wetlands restoration in progress. Trained docents will lead this easy walk around the Preserve, sharing information on the history of the land, the natural habitat, how the project came to fruition, and what changes have been observed since the water was returned to the wetlands.
You’ll get to see some happy water birds enjoying the pond, and a host of other migrating birds who have returned to the Meadow.
There is no charge for this tour, though donations to the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy are always welcome to assist with the preservation and public access of this and other OVLC preserves.
Reservations are appreciated. Please call 649-6852, dial 0 to leave a reservation.
This is an easy walk on a flat trail, though an occasional rut or gopher hole may be encountered. Please wear sturdy walking shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy. Bring water and a snack if you like. The walk is suitable for all ages, subject matter will be of most interest to adults.
