Naming Opportunites & Memorial Giving

Is there someone special that you would like to honor or remember in a meaningful, lasting way? A gift in honor or memorial will benefit the Ojai Valley for generations to come.  Whether it is a modest cash gift or a naming gift, every gift makes a difference.

One time gifts in honor or memorial may be made through our contributions form.  We will mail an acknowledgement of your gift to the honoree or, if a memorial gift, to a designated family member to let them know their loved one has been honored by you.  We will also mail you a letter of thanks with acknowledgement of the gift amount for your tax records, as these gifts are tax deductible.  Gifts will be listed in our quarterly newsletter and on a memorial webpage soon to be on our website. 

Naming Opportunities

If you, or your group would like to go above and beyond to leave a lasting mark in the community, we also offer naming opportunities at some of our preserves.  Several dozen people have chosen to dedicate trails, benches, gardens and even the naming of a park after loved ones. Please consider this very unique opportunity to create a lasting legacy for your family and for future generations of Ojai Valley residents.

Here are examples of naming opportunities currently offered…

• $1,500     A tree at the Ojai Meadows Preserve
• $10,000     A resting bench on the Ventura River Preserve
• $40,000     An earthen bridge on the creek at the Ojai Meadows Preserve
• $500,000 A ridge at the Ventura River Preserve
