Thanks to a local landowner and trail access advocates, the Conservancy negotiated a public access agreement that allows hikers, bicyclists and horseback riders to continue using this important link between the Gridley and Pratt Trails. A new trail route was established by the CREW and trail volunteers. Throughout the Valley, trail access to the Los Padres National Forest has been eliminated on many private properties and the Conservancy continues to work cooperatively with landowners to find solutions that will again open these routes for public use.
