Unfortunately, many people use it as a dog park and on many visits, I had several large dogs converge on my 21 pound sheltie, frightening him and spoiling our walk. The owners always say, "My dog is friendly," but when several dogs converge on a single dog, or a fifty pound dog jumps on a dog half his size, the other dog does not always enjoy it. I no longer take my sheltie to the preserve; he began getting upset every time we drew near the place. I wish people would follow the rules and keep their dogs leashed.
